How did you use the product? (explain the fishing, tying, travel, or general ways you used the product to give context review)*
I used this product to carry flies and gear when getting out of a drift boat to swing a run for. Most recently, I did this on the American River fishing for steelhead and shad. I liked the sling for several reasons: 1) it keeps the gear I need all in one place in the boat, so I don’t have to look all over the place to get organized; 2) The sling holds a lot- including very large fly boxes that I typically use from a boat; 3) the sling is waterproof so its immune to occasional water splashes and submersions, plus it floats. Specifically, I prefer to use a sling pack when swinging because the form factor allows me to keep my front side trim and clean to minimize line catching. I also find slings valuable in traditional walk/wade situations.
What were you impressed with about the product (what are the best things about it and what makes it unique amongst others)
I have used many of the Thunderhead series products, but this is the first I have used with the new TRU zip zipper. The new zipper is smoother, less prone to hanging up and is easier to use, ensuring the sling maintains a watertight seal. I have used other, non-submersible slings in the past and found them lacking in one way or the other.

Is the product a good value for the money?*
While the price is a bit steep, I think the material and construction material are very high quality and quite durable (based on past experience) and it well worth the money.
