Loon Core Fly Tying Kit Product Review
By Captain Bryce Tedford
How did you use the product?
I used the Core flying kit at my home bench to tie various Steve Adachi Style Clouser patterns and Gurgler style Topwater patterns.
What were you impressed with about the product?
I found the Core Fly Tying Tool Kit had all the necessary tools to tie great flies & look good doing it. I believe this would be an excellent set for someone new to fly tying as it has all the tools an up-and-coming fly tier needs to get started. In addition, this is a set for the traveling fly tier who has it all but is on the go! Grab this kit, some fly-tying materials, head cement, and a vise & hit the road ready to tie! A great product for the beginners or the seasoned veterans on the move! The case it comes in is super solid & makes it a great kit for the Fly Tier on the go as well as keeping a beginner fly tier organized.
What could the product improve on or do better?
Product worked great but I will say the tools felt smaller & fragile in hand but understand this is due to it being an introductory kit. Personally wont use this as my main kit on the bench but this will work great for the road & it’s a great starter kit for beginners so I totally get it.
Is the product a good value for the money?
At $60 it’s a solid value for the $ & will help people get into fly tying. In addition, it’s a great option for fly tiers who travel as it has a great case & solid value.
