The feather is pretty solid right now, but not epic yet. There are some kings starting to dig redds and the egg bite is getting going, but still ramping up. There’s some nice fish around eating eggs, caddis and mayflies. The low flow is really low and clear so find the faster, cooler riffling water and the kings and you’ll find the fish. Expect to put some work in to find the fish, but its really fun when you do finally connect with the silver bullets!

The high flow is in great shape for bank and boat anglers as well. Fish eggs, caddis, and mays under the indicator and swing olive and tan sculpins and egg sucking leeches. As the season progresses, we may see some steelhead sipping bwos on top as well. Its rare, but pretty exciting to get a central valley steelhead on a dead drifted dry fly.
