Jeff Ching Daily Shad Report
3 drift boats (Andrew Foster and Jon Hubbard in 2 of them) and a jet boat this morning (Jefe and Steve Adachi). There were a lot of bankies and waders.
It was a grind for the first 4 hours, getting a dozen here and there. Doug got some wading swinging his two handed rod. A bobber guy I recognized from last year showed up on the North side of the river. I asked him how come he came over to the North side and he said that it was because he didn’t have to cast all the way across the river. He fished above me and caught a bunch.
Head down river to a tail out and caught another dozen in about an hour. I just happened to run into a pod moving up because it was fast and furious for about 30 minutes then it slowed down. Then Jefe and Steve above me started hooking up. Goes to show that they are on the move.
Brandon Harrell was fishing by himself on a day off just above the take out and he told me that there were a lot of stripers in the area. I even saw a blow up just up from the ramp as I was loading my boat on the trailer.
