Lower Sacramento River Striper Report
Flows are around 5000cfs and has a green tint… not clear but pretty close.
Fishing has entered the typical early winter pattern. We are not seeing huge numbers of fish caught but we are getting good size fish. Most days we are averaging a good fish per angler and a few smaller fish. This time of year is a persistence pays off type of deal. As Capt. Patrick MacKenzie says you gotta feed the meter. Most fish are coming on heavy sinking lines and bigger flies. We should see consistent fishing until the river blows out but we can see the bite turn off an on during barometers shifts.
