Solo mid-river float today. First stop was above a group of bankies and I got 6 before they moved. The only other boat was Happy with clients and they were getting fish nymphing below me. I tried swinging the area they were fishing but they wouldn’t take a swung fly. That was all she wrote for me the rest of the float except for a steelhead smolt the took a Blue Hawaii. I did see a bankie land a shad at Harrington and saw Italian John fishing on that side. John is from Queens and is quite a character.
