The Yuba has been fishing good to great lately! While some days are more productive than others, one thing’s for sure—you can’t beat the fight of those feisty Yuba trout.
We’ve been finding success across multiple techniques:
Hopper dropper rigs
Indicator nymphing
Streamers in the deeper runs
Bug activity has been light overall, but the fish are still keyed in on:
Larger stonefly patterns
Smaller brown mayflies
Caddis imitations
And when the bite slows, streamers are still turning heads in the deeper water
Current flows are holding around 2,000 CFS, which is ideal for this time of year. It’s a great window to get out before the hopper bite fades.
📅 I still have dates available in August—reach out to book a day on the water!
